Assistant Professor Psychology
This position is for an Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology with a specialty in social psychology or social cognition. This is a tenure-track position to begin September 2019. The position includes teaching, research, and research supervision of students in the School’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
The School of Psychology is located on the Metropolitan Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Northern New Jersey, near New York City, and offers doctoral programs in clinical and school psychology; master’s programs in psychopharmacology, forensic psychology, and general-theoretical psychology, and school psychology; and an undergraduate program in psychology with tracks in clinical social work, forensic psychology, mental health, organizational behavior, and consumer psychology.
The eligible candidate must hold a doctorate in psychology by the time the position begins, and must demonstrate evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and scholarly achievement, commensurate with the rank of assistant professor. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
