Assistant Professor, Psychology (Psychological Research Methods) Rhode Island College Fall 2019
The Psychology Department at Rhode Island College invites applications for the full-time, tenure track position of Assistant Professor, Psychology (Psychological Research Methods).
The department is a vibrant one, consisting of 17 faculty members who serve approximately 600 undergraduate majors and 15 graduate students. We seek faculty committed to teaching and working with our multicultural student population. The individual will teach courses as needed at the undergraduate and graduate level, including psychological research methods, behavioral statistics, introduction to psychology, and other specialty related psychology courses. It is also expected that the person will engage in professional activities in the department as well as mentor students in research relevant to the candidate's area of specialization.
Required qualifications include: Doctorate in psychology or related field. Evidence of successful college teaching experience and ability with courses including introductory and advanced psychological research methods, behavioral statistics, introduction to psychology, and other specialty related courses. Evidence of an active research program with ability to supervise undergraduate and masters-level research.
Preferred qualifications include: Ability to teach other undergraduate and graduate psychology courses as needed. Active psychological research program in an area of specialization.
