The Department of Psychology at Misericordia University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position for appointment in Fall 2019. A PhD or PsyD is required. Specializations of interest include Experimental Psychology, Adult Development, Rehabilitation Psychology, and Community Psychology. Applicants should be prepared to teach introductory psychology and research methods, as well as specialty courses in their research areas. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the college/university level and are expected to establish and maintain a research program that leads to peer-reviewed publications and actively involves undergraduate students. In addition to teaching a 4:4 load, responsibilities include academic advising and participation in departmental and university service. Applicants must be able to offer courses in the Core Curriculum as well as upper-level courses in the candidate's field of study where one is expected to prepare and deliver lectures; evaluate and grade students' classwork and assignments; and initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
