Assistant Professor of Psychology, Tenure Track

The University of La Verne’s Psychology Department invites applications for one full-time, ten-month, Assistant Professor tenure-track position to begin with the 2020-2021 academic year. The position is as a core faculty member in the undergraduate psychology program.

A doctoral degree in psychology is required. Applicants with the following specialties are encouraged to apply: child, cognitive, developmental, evaluation/measurement, experimental, forensic, health, learning/behavior, personality, quantitative, or social. We particularly welcome candidates who have an interest in teaching undergraduate courses in Statistics, Research Methods, and Experimental Psychology. There is an expectation of quality teaching and scholarship in a comprehensive liberal arts university with a commitment to multiculturalism and a diverse student body.

Specific duties

This position requires: teach a full course load (three courses each semester) in the undergraduate psychology program, scholarship in the applicant’s respective field, and service to the department, college, and university.

The salary range for each position is dependent upon qualifications and departmental equity.
