The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Millsaps College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Psychology at the rank of assistant professor to begin August of 2020. Candidates should have a Ph.D or Psy.D (ABD considered) in Clinical or Counseling psychology with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and an active research program suitable for a liberal arts environment. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in adult clinical or counseling psychology, but outstanding candidates with other specialties will be considered. This position does not include clinical practice, and licensure is not required. The successful candidate will maintain a course load of three classes per semester potentially including Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Tests and Measurement, Social Psychology, Psychology of Language, Diversity Psychology, and courses in the candidate’s area of specialization.
