PhD Program in Clinical Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Hofstra University invites applications for an anticipated full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Clinical Psychology beginning September 2019. Candidates with interests in any area of child, adolescent, or adult psychopathology or psychological treatment are encouraged to apply. The position is primarily for the PhD Program in Clinical Psychology (as a core faculty member) and subject to financial availability. Some undergraduate teaching may be required as well. Our PhD program follows the scientist-practitioner model and faculty members clinical orientation is primarily cognitive behavioral (e.g., cognitive therapy, behavioral analysis, exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy). The ideal applicant will complement the existing faculty members' areas of expertise.
Applicants should have been awarded their PhD in clinical psychology by May 31, 2019. Candidates should show clear evidence of research productivity along with the potential to develop an independent program of research, and a significant commitment to teaching and supervision at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
