Hampden-Sydney College, a private liberal arts institution for men with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment of Assistant Professor of Psychology, beginning August 2020, with responsibility for teaching a course load of 7 classes per academic year.
Candidates should have the Ph.D. in the areas of Social or Industrial/Organizational Psychology by the time of their appointment and be prepared to teach courses in their area of specialization as well as a related lab course, an integrated statistics methods course, and introductory psychology. Preference will be given to candidates that are able to offer courses relevant to careers in business or industry. Candidates also are expected to be active scholars who will engage in research that involves undergraduate students.
