Assistant Professor of Psychology

The Department of Psychology at Methodist University located in Fayetteville, NC, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position. The position is for an Assistant Professor of Psychology commencing August of 2019.

Applicants must have a PhD in Psychology. Candidates must currently have or be able to develop an active program of research that allows our undergraduate students to gain research experience. Candidates must have experience or be able to teach classes in General Psychology, Personality, Social Psychology, Learning, and Memory and Cognition. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience. Successful candidates will possess the ability or potential to become excellent in the classroom teaching a variety of courses and to advise Psychology majors. A highly desirable candidate will be enthusiastic to join a program with an emphasis on undergraduate education, a strong commitment to a liberal arts education, and an enthusiasm to work with students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The new faculty member should be dedicated to high quality teaching and advising of undergraduate students, providing service to the department, community, and university and participating in other scholarly activities such as research, especially with undergraduates.
