Assistant Professor- Psychologist. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso, Department of Psychiatry is recruiting a Licensed Psychologist. The applicant must have a license or be eligible for licensure as a psychologist by the Texas State Board of Examiners. There should be a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline and a promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity.
The applicant will provide patient care by diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of behavioral health conditions within a multidisciplinary setting and will administer psychological testing including, but not limited to WAIS, WAIC, Trains A & B, WCST, clinical dementia rating and projective testing, scoring and evaluation for adult or pediatric psychiatric conditions. The applicant will serve as the primary contact for behavioral health rotations of Family and Community Medicine. The applicant will also participate in the teaching and training of Psychology interns, Psychology Post-Doctoral trainees, residents, fellows and medical students including presentation of lectures. The applicant will participate in academic research and scholarly activities in the Department of Psychiatry, participate in committees and other administrative duties as assigned, ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations, adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures and demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility. An academic degree PhD or Psy.D. and licensure in Texas is required.
