The University of Houston-Victoria is seeking to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Forensic Psychology position to teach in forensic and counseling psychology master’s programs.
Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology required, with a specialization in forensic psychology or a minimum of one-year forensic psychology practice experience. Doctorate in psychology/law will also be considered. Prefer candidate who possesses or qualifies for the Texas license (Licensed Psychologist).
Applicants must be able to teach graduate courses in forensic and counseling psychology including assessment courses as well as a variety of upper-level undergraduate psychology courses. The successful applicant will be an integral member of the psychology department including participation in the graduate programs as well as the undergraduate programs. Evidence of scholarly activity important. Successful applicants will start in the Fall of 2019. Summer teaching is normally available at attractive rates. The program currently teaches courses at both the Victoria and Katy campuses.
