The Saint Mary’s College Department of Psychological Sciences invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Cognitive Psychology to begin August 2020.
The successful candidate will teach Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Psychology lab, and some combination of Statistics, Research Methods, and Introduction to Psychology. The ability to teach Sensation & Perception or Psycholinguistics is a plus. Candidates can also develop and teach upper-level courses related to their expertise. The ability for the candidate to contribute to our growing interdisciplinary program in Neuroscience is highly preferred.
The individual in this position will teach three courses per semester based on the needs of the department and the teaching interests of the candidate. Qualified candidates whose teaching and research interests that are related, but not identical, to areas such as those described above, or a combination of those described above, are also encouraged to apply.
This position requires a Ph.D. either in Psychology or a related field. Candidates who are A.B.D. will be considered. All successful candidates will contribute to the mission of the college which promotes a life of intellectual vigor, aesthetic appreciation, religious sensibility, and social responsibility.
