The Neuroscience and Behavior program at Barnard College, Columbia University, seeks a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor, starting July 2019. The successful candidate will establish an active, externally funded research program in neuroscience. Applicants with laboratory and/or computational research programs are encouraged to apply. Examples of areas of research include computational/quantitative neuroscience, behavior in an invertebrate model, developmental cognitive neuroscience or the neuroscience of human movement. Teaching responsibilities entail 4 courses per year. We are especially interested in candidates with demonstrated experience or potential for mentoring undergraduate researchers, including women and underrepresented minorities.
Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience required; teaching experience desirable. Applicants should submit a CV, cover letter, research and teaching statements, two representative publications, and contact information for three references from whom we can solicit recommendation letters.
