Assistant Professor in Intellectual Disability/Autism (Tenure Track)

The Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/Autism) Programs at Teachers College, Columbia University seek a tenure-track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have a doctorate in Special Education, Psychology, Human Development or related field, a strong record of scholarship in a clear line of research focused on individuals with developmental disabilities, and strong evidence of potential for external funding. The ideal candidate will have research expertise focused on individuals with developmental disabilities during the late childhood, adolescence, or post-secondary periods in addition to strong quantitative group-level methodological and statistical skills. Candidates should have an explicit commitment to diversity and to advancing understanding and outcomes for underrepresented groups. Research and/or professional experience in PK-12 schools is strongly preferred.

The candidate will be expected to teach MA and PhD level courses (2 courses per semester), advise doctoral and master’s students, provide dissertation research sponsorship for doctoral students, and participate in service at the Department and College level.
