Assistant Professor in Child Clinical Psychology, Tenure-Track


Assistant Professor in Child Clinical Psychology: The University of Montana, Department of Psychology, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in our APA-accredited clinical psychology program to begin Fall, 2019. PhD degree in clinical psychology is required at the time of appointment. Duties include contributing to the graduate child and school emphases in teaching and research; undergraduate teaching; and supervision of doctoral and master’s research and clinical practica. The teaching load is two courses per semester, with the potential opportunity for online teaching in the future. Courses may include child interventions, child assessment, and developmental psychology. We seek candidates with an established record of excellence in teaching and research; area of research specialization is open. Clinical licensure eligibility in Montana is required.

  

The Department of Psychology, located in the College of Humanities and Sciences, has 17 full-time faculty members and currently offers PhD degrees in clinical psychology, school psychology, and experimental psychology. Our PhD programs in clinical and school psychology are APA-accredited with an on-site training clinic. The department offers excellent opportunities to develop teaching and research interests that bridge department and college areas. New faculty members are provided research support including lab space, a reasonable teaching load, and start-up funds for equipment. Salary is competitive in the region. Faculty members are expected to develop strong research programs in their areas of interest and are encouraged to collaborate with faculty and students in other departmental research areas.
