Assistant Professor in Biological Psychology.The Department of Psychology at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in biological psychology.The successful candidate will have the expertise to teach courses in various areas of biopsychology as well as animal learning. Examples of such courses include behavioral neuroscience, brain and behavior, neuropsychiatric disorders, and advanced seminar in biological psychology. Individuals with research interests in neuroendocrinology, drug addiction, the neurobiology of learning and memory, or psychopharmacology are especially encouraged to apply. A Ph.D. in behavioral neuroscience, experimental psychology, or a related area is required at the time of appointment.The start date for the position is September 11, 2019.
Candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence inboth undergraduate and graduate teaching, exhibit research potential as evidenced by engaging in publishable research in their area of expertise, and possess the capability to attract and mentor students in their research area.Fully qualified candidates will have the ability to teach students of diverse cultural backgrounds.
