The Department of Psychology announces a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the fall semester, 2019. We seek candidates whose scholarship focuses on diverse populations. Areas of scholarship could include ethnicity, race, or culture (broadly defined).
We are seeking a colleague who can complement and enrich our current offerings. We seek an individual with both a strong commitment to teaching and an active research program that can involve bright undergraduates. Teaching responsibilities will include intermediate and advanced undergraduate courses, supervision of student research projects, and possibly courses in introductory psychology and/or research methods.
The Psychology Department offers courses in many different areas of psychology, including clinical, cognitive, developmental, perception, social, and psychology of language, as well as behavioral, cognitive, and social and affective neuroscience. Our faculty members are active researchers in their fields. Our faculty value involving undergraduate students as collaborators in our research programs. The department has state-of-the-art lab facilities.
