Assistant Professor (clinical or counseling psychology). The Department of Psychology at the University of New England (https://www.une.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning August 2020. Help expand the clinical emphasis of our enthusiastic department of 12 faculty members enrolling over 260 undergraduate students in three majors: Psychology, Animal Behavior, and Neuroscience.
Candidates for the position should provide evidence of excellence in teaching and the potential for an active independent scholarship program. Completion of a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field with significant clinical overlap, is required. Candidates must have the ability to teach courses that contribute to our Mental Health minor and upper division counseling and clinical offerings as well as more general courses and courses in their area of specialization. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active scholarship program that engages undergraduate students and results in peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals with undergraduate co-authors. Successful candidates will have access to both college-aged and senior-aged participant pools on campus, or may find more specialized populations among the approximately half-million people in the greater Portland metro area.
