The Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking to fill an immediate opening in the area of Clinical Child & Adolescent/Pediatric Psychology. Candidates should possess a PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and be eligible for licensure and independent practice as a Health Service Provider in Psychology in the State of Indiana. Academic rank and track are flexible depending on the experience and expertise of the candidate and may be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.


Responsibilities will consist of evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of children with a range of psychological problems and diagnoses in a large outpatient child psychiatry clinic, tertiary care pediatric hospital, and community-based clinics affiliated with Indiana University School of Medicine. In addition to outpatient child clinical psychology evaluation and intervention services, the position will involve significant consultation and integrated primary care components, working collaboratively with professionals from a range of health care disciplines. Other responsibilities will include collaboration with medical treatment teams, participation on department committees, supervision/teaching of residents, interns, and medical students, and research opportunities when available.


Experience or training in child clinical/pediatric psychology is required; experience or training in assessment and treatment of autism-spectrum disorders is preferred but not required.


The Department of Psychiatry has a broad research, clinical, and teaching mission and maintains both a clinical psychology internship and psychiatry residency program, in addition to training rotations for medical and graduate students.
