The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, RI, is seeking a young investigator to join our internationally-recognized clinical research program in Alzheimer’s disease as an Assistant Professor. The candidate will be expected to develop independent scholarly research focusing on the detection, prevention and early intervention for Alzheimer’s disease. Our group is using imaging, fluid and genetic biomarkers, developing novel cognitive assessments, and testing pharmacological and lifestyle interventions. The position combines cognitive assessments in the Memory and Aging Program with protected time for independent scholarly activity. Brown provides an excellent environment for interdisciplinary and translational research in neurodegenerative disorders. The successful candidate must qualify for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include: Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related discipline, clinical and research experience working with patients with cognitive disorders, excellence in teaching and research mentorship, ability to develop and conduct an independent program of research and a commitment to scholarly participation in the Alzheimer’s disease research programs of the Warren Alpert Medical School.
