The College of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Polytechnic Institute is seeking outstanding applicants qualified for a Professor of Cognitive Psychology. While this tenure-line position is envisioned at the Assistant Professor level, it may be filled at the Associate Professor level depending on the candidate's research record and other qualifications.
The successful candidate will have earned a PhD in Cognitive Psychology or a related discipline, and have an active research agenda in cognitive psychology or cognitive science, including, but not limited to, areas such as human-computer interaction (HCI), artificial intelligence (AI), and cognitive neuroscience. Duties include teaching classes in the psychology curriculum; scholarship and research with potential for external funding; service on department and Institute committees; and other reasonable duties as assigned. ABDs will be given consideration with evidence provided of completion by the start date.
