Assistant/Associate Professor in Adult Neuropsychology/Adult Rehabilitation Psychology at University of Missouri - Columbia

The Department of Health Psychology in the School of Health Professions at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applications for two to three full-time, tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Candidates will demonstrate a strong history of seeking and conducting funded research, as well as publication in high-impact journals on topics related to clinical neuropsychology, rehabilitation psychology, pain disorders, and/or bariatrics. The faculty members will be expected to develop an independent line of research and secure extramural funding. Successful applicants will have a doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology; eligibility for Missouri Psychologist licensure is required, and eligibility for ABPP board certification is preferred. This position will include collaboration with the MU Missouri Orthopedic Institute, the MU Department of Neurology, and/or the MU Department of Neurosurgery.

This faculty member will participate in clinical research and will provide direct clinical services in relevant areas of expertise. Faculty will also participate in our APA and APPIC-approved predoctoral internship program and/or our APPCN-certified postdoctoral fellowship program. Opportunities also exist for teaching and mentoring in the MU School of Health Professions’ new Ph.D. program in Health & Rehabilitation Science.

As part of the School of Health Professions in the MU Healthcare System, the Department of Health Psychology (http://shp.missouri.edu/hp/index.php) has a long tradition of excellence in clinical services, research, and training in psychological services based in medical settings -- particularly neuropsychology, rehabilitation psychology, health psychology, and pediatric psychology. Faculty research programs intersect with our clinical services and have consistently garnered federal grant funding.
