The Department of Psychological Science and Counseling at Austin Peay State University seeks individuals to fill a Director of Training position (open rank), and two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions to serve a new PsyD in Counseling Psychology program. The program will offer a concentration in Serving Military Personnel, Veterans, and Their Families.
The program has an anticipated implementation of Fall 2020 and has been approved by the Austin Peay State University Board of Trustees and the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, with approval pending from Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Austin Peay State University is located in Clarksville, TN, a thriving community located less than 50 miles from Nashville. Clarksville is a neighbor to Ft. Campbell United States Army Post. APSU maintains a strong relationship with Ft. Campbell and other local agencies that provide services to military personnel, veterans, and their families. Nearly 25% of the student population at APSU is military-connected. As a result, the PsyD program faculty and students will be afforded rich clinical and research opportunities related to serving military and military-connected populations.
