The University of Minnesota’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has an opening for a licensed or license-eligible adult clinical psychologist to join our faculty. The position offers the opportunity to shape an emerging new program through developing and delivering psychological assessment and evidence-based psychotherapy services for patients in the Department’s outpatient clinic. The new faculty member will collaborate with Psychology and Psychiatry faculty members in the Department’s Mood Disorders program and its affiliated Neuromodulation program. These are new efforts focusing on Treatment-resistant Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and a broad spectrum of established and novel neuromodulation interventions. The psychologist will provide expertise in assessment and therapy to the team’s multidisciplinary approach to treating mood disorders and lead or contribute to relevant research.
The position brings with it opportunities to work with other specialties including Nursing and Social Work and there are options to supervise trainees if desired. The new faculty member will join an active and growing faculty of 55 members, 25 of whom are psychologists. Psychologists play active roles in key leadership positions within the Department.
