The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is offering a full-time faculty position for an academically-oriented BC/BE psychiatrist in the Division of Substance Abuse. Rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a clinician focused on addiction medicine, who enjoys collaborative work and interdisciplinary training of residents, fellows, medical students and other professionals. Primary responsibilities for this MD include inpatient and outpatient clinical services focused on addiction medicine in multiple practice locations within the Department. Participation in the teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents and medical students is also required. Opportunities to participate in research are available.
