Capital Institute for Cognitive Therapy is a leading provider of empirically-supported cognitive behavioral treatments in the Washington DC metro area. Dr. Stephen Holland, the Institute Founder and Director, is an internationally recognized CBT expert. Many members of our clinical staff are involved in research, publish scholarly articles, present at major conferences and/or provide training to other professionals. We work with a full range of CBT interventions, including cognitive therapy, exposure-based treatments and mindfulness/acceptance approaches.
With a clinical staff of over 15, we serve a large and diverse patient population, including children, adolescents and adults. We offer a collegial atmosphere with fellow professionals who are committed to on-going learning and to supporting each other in their growth. Opportunities exist to develop areas of special interest within a general group practice. Work schedules are flexible depending on staff members needs and preferences.
We are located in a beautiful historic townhouse in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of downtown DC, with a nearby satellite office. The practice has grown steadily since its founding in 2003. In September, 2019 we will be opening a second location in Bethesda, Maryland
